How much could paid requests earn you?
If you DJ, you probably get asked for songs most nights, for free. Set how often you play, how many guests pay for a request and what you charge, and see what that adds up to over a month and a year.
You receive
$680
per month · $8,160 a year
- Guests pay per event
- $100
- Guests pay per month
- $800
- OnCuePay fee (15%)
- −$120
How the numbers work
Guests pay per month is events per month × paid requests per event × your average price. That's what guests pay for the requests you play.
You receive is that amount after OnCuePay's 15% fee, which is only taken when you withdraw. There's no monthly fee, no setup fee and no charge per request.
Guests pay a small card processing fee on top of your price, so it doesn't come out of your earnings. Requests you decline or never play cost the guest nothing, because their card is only held until you mark the request done.
Not sure what to charge? One approach is to price shoutouts and dedications lower than song requests, and let guests pay extra to move up the queue on busy nights.
