Reviews Policy
Effective from: 22 October 2026
This updated version applies from 22 October 2026. Until then, the previous version (v2026-10-08) applies to accounts that haven't accepted this one. Hosts have been emailed a summary of what's changing.
Real reviews only
We never write, commission or buy reviews of OnCuePay, and we never post reviews under made-up names. Every review we show comes from a real host or guest, with the date it was given and where it came from.
How we ask for reviews
We may ask hosts who have opted in to tips and product news for a review once, after their first paid event. Everyone gets the same message. We don't offer anything in return, and we don't only ask people we think are happy.
Incentivised reviews
If anyone is ever given something for a review, such as a discount or a free month, the review is clearly labelled "Incentivised" with a description of what they were given.
We publish positive and negative reviews alike
We don't pick only the best reviews. Genuine reviews sent to us are published whatever they say, unless they break the law, contain personal information about someone else, or are abusive; in those cases we remove only that part where we can.
Reporting a suspicious review
If you think a review on OnCuePay is fake, misleading or not what it seems, contact us via live chat, and tell us which review and why.
What we do about it
We look into every report. If a review turns out to be fake, incentivised without a label, or otherwise misleading, we remove it, and we may close the account of anyone involved in writing or arranging it.
